1. Vehicle Condition, Safety & Access

1.1 Installation work may require the removal of trims, panels, or factory components, and the customer accepts that minor cosmetic changes may occur.

1.2 Vehicles must be supplied in a clean, safe, and accessible condition at the scheduled installation time.

1.3 Audio Car Studio Melbourne is not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or wear discovered during installation.

1.4 No liability is accepted for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle or within the technician’s work area.

 

2. Workplace Conduct & Technician Safety

2.1 For health, safety, and liability reasons, customers must not interfere with, observe, or distract technicians during installation.

2.2 Any aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate conduct toward staff will result in immediate termination of services without refund.

2.3 Failure to comply with safety instructions may lead to immediate cancellation of the booking, with all deposits forfeited.

 

3. Quotes, Scope & Feature Retention

3.1 A written quotation issued by Audio Car Studio Melbourne defines the full scope of works and supersedes all prior discussions or communications.

3.2 Verbal advice, pricing, or time estimates are provided as guidance only and are not binding.

3.3 Changes to factory audio, infotainment, or electrical systems may result in altered or lost vehicle functionality.

3.4 Retention of factory features is not guaranteed unless explicitly documented in writing within the accepted quotation.
3.5 The customer bears sole responsibility for identifying any essential factory features prior to quotation acceptance.

3.6 No verbal representations or assurances form part of any contractual agreement.

 

4. Payments, Fees & Ownership

4.1 All supplied products and completed installation work remain the property of Audio Car Studio Melbourne until payment is received in full.

4.2 A 2.1% + 30 cents card processing surcharge applies to all card payments.

4.3 Audio Car Studio Melbourne reserves the right to withhold warranty assistance, documentation, or future services where outstanding balances remain.

4.4 Invoices not settled within ten (10) days of installation may incur administrative, recovery, or additional service fees.

4.5 The remaining balance is payable on the day of installation, upon completion of the work and before the technician leaves the premises. Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, PayID, or card.

 

5. Bookings, Deposits & Scheduling

5.1 A booking is confirmed only after the required deposit has been received in cleared funds.

5.2 Deposits are strictly non-refundable and may be converted to store credit only at the discretion of Audio Car Studio Melbourne.

5.3 Audio Car Studio Melbourne may reschedule or cancel bookings due to weather conditions, safety concerns, staffing issues, or events beyond reasonable control.

5.4 A minimum of two (2) business days’ notice is required for rescheduling requests.

5.5 Insufficient notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit due to allocated time, labour, and parts.

 

6. Warranty, Risk & Limitations

6.1 All supplied products include a manufacturer’s warranty of no less than 12 months in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

6.2 Audio Car Studio Melbourne is not responsible for warranty outcomes determined by manufacturers, suppliers, or third parties.

6.3 Warranty claims will be declined where faults arise from misuse, electrical issues, third-party interference, accidents, or post-installation modifications.

6.4 No refunds, replacements, or labour credits will be issued where evidence of tampering or external damage exists.

 

7. System Demonstration & Ongoing Compatibility

7.1 Where practical, a system demonstration will be provided upon completion of the installation.

7.2 If the customer is unavailable at completion, responsibility for learning system operation rests entirely with the customer.

7.3 Audio Car Studio Melbourne accepts no responsibility for future software updates, device compatibility changes, or third-party application behaviour.

 

8. Child Restraint Disclaimer

8.1 Audio Car Studio Melbourne is not authorised or accredited to install or refit child restraint systems.

8.2 If removal of a child seat is required to complete an installation, reinstatement is the sole responsibility of the customer.

 

9. Post-Installation Service & Liability Limits

9.1 Audio Car Studio Melbourne accepts no responsibility for loss of vehicle features unless expressly recorded in writing within the accepted quotation.

9.2 Any installation requiring an onsite visit for issues unrelated to supplied products or workmanship will incur a minimum call-out fee.

9.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited strictly to repair or replacement of the supplied product.

 

10. Refunds

10.1 Deposits, booking fees, and labour charges are non-refundable once work has commenced or parts have been allocated.

10.2 Refunds, where considered, are issued solely at the discretion of Audio Car Studio Melbourne.

 

11. Acceptance & Governing Law

11.1 All enquiries regarding these terms must be submitted in writing prior to accepting a quotation.

11.2 Acceptance of a quotation constitutes full and unconditional agreement to all terms and conditions contained herein.

11.3 These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
